    I've been trying to convert webm files to mp4, with no luck. There are a few free programs but none will work with 1+ gb files. Any suggestion?

    I suggest XMedia Recode, is totally free and I like it very much:

    https://www.xmedia-recode.de/en/download.php

    Although it's not very user-friendly (UI, codecs params, help, etc.), it has many options for transcoding among many formats.
