Tip: Looks like it doesn't work with my copy of PS 2020 - macOS BIG SUR 11.6. Installing now PS 2021 to test it out.

Update: Does not work without the CreativeCloud. Could not install it locally.

Same issue here. Got PS 2021, but it will not run without the CC.

 

TUTORIAL: HOW TO GET TK8 WORK ON PHOTOSHOP - CREATIVE CLOUD ISSUE:
(Without a Credit Card)

After trying it out for about 2h and searching the whole web (found nothing), i figured out how Photoshop 22.5 (no 22.5.1) will work with the new TK8 Plugins.

Info: I use macOS BIG SUR 11.6

Spoiler

1. Install the Creative Cloud for a 7-Day-Trial here https://CreativeCloud.Adobe.com
2. Create a pseudo Adobe Account to use the CC on your PC.
3. After Installing the CC - Start the App and go to Applications.
4. Load Photoshop 22.5.1 from the Cloud and use the Free Trial Version.
5. Start Photoshop and install the TK8 Plugins to your creative Cloud - Works fine on my MAC.
6. After the Installtion you have to deinstall your Photoshop 22.5.1 Version.
7. Load the 22.5 (no 22.5.1) Version and use the ZII Loader to get the full Version.
8. Start Photoshop - Your TK8 Plugins are now available " Plugins -> TK8 Combo" - Finish.

Thanks mate...i did extract the files but put them in extensions folder...Didn't think of putting them in the plugins.

 

The panel looks like another layer of complication, to me. Is there a worthwhile benefit if you already have a reasonable grasp of Photoshop?

 

If you work with layers and masks, you can benefit from the TK Panel. Otherwise, you don't need it.

 

I think there's an update out, which fixes bugs and works with the latest ps.
