sad, but you are probably right. Can the different sections be made hidden if you don't have gold status? I know I cannot afford to be gold all the time, so it would be sad to only be able to come every few months, but if it keeps the rats out, then it is worth it

 

I think issue with this is that some people aren't gold all the time. I for one can go a while not being gold till there's something I see worth paying for

 

Sharing is key in scrubbing out the bug. If a member has done nada for contribution, whether gold or not, they should be tossed.....especially the last 6 months. IMO.

 

I don't like that because I don't have anything worth sharing that has not already been shared or is a million years old (and has already been shared). I am more than happy to pay my way to be here when I can afford it, but I just don't have any way to get anything worthwhile to share.

 

Unfortunately this is why several other sites had to move to solid home page and to get in, you basically have to answer a ton of questions, weeds out the rats usually in 3-5 questions, promise to upload 1 time a month, or face being banned for life… literally… i missed a month and can no longer be a member, sucks but it was my mistake.

 

The question were on torrents, vpn knowledge, etc.. it ensured you knew how to be anonymous and that you would be a contributing member to the club and not just a loafer.

It is unfortunate, but like DLUX stated, once there is a bug infestation, the cleaning has to be complete, or everybody suffers.

 

Agreed something needs to be done. The Mega suspension is getting worse and worse. Downloading and reuploading can’t happen fast enough. Contribution and participation in group buys should be key.

At this point, I'm really thinking of switching everything to all gold. It really irritates me when a brand new member comments "can someone send me this". I'm not down with the "take, take, take" mentality.

Its basically the moment we copy a certain file from one account to another that they're shutting us down. Now we just need to find out what that file is...

Finally got a violation notice over a week after my account being terminated. It was Tara Mapes file...

 

Same! Got mine today as well. Tara Mapes file in my account was reported.

So basically we can't store anything in our mega accounts? mine got shut down today (I'm ridiculously angry about that) but I have no idea whether it was because of a folder I uploaded and shared or whether it was one of the files I'd stored there that someone else had uploaded.

I wouldn't rely on it as your sole storage option. Definitely keep it on a hard drive. At this point, I think I'm done with reuploading my 20gb+ files. I've already done it so many times...I just can't anymore.
