    Hello people,

I'd like to start a thread where everybody can speak out loud by which tutorial you were impressed the most. What did you learn from it and why do you think it's a must to watch?

By this thread I hope we can help each other to find the best tutorials and all the hidden gems out there. You may also share your opinion on disappointing tutorials which where not worth watching and beware us from wasting our time.

Please give some additional information like...
What's the genre (fashion / landscape / portrait / photoshop...)?
What were your learnings exactly (posing people / how to use gear / luminosity masking in PS...)?

I hope you like the idea of this and keep sharing you thoughs :)

    Best, Leona

The Zak Arias books, he is one of the most down to earth, tell it like it is, don't try to tell people that gear is the answer instructors I know.

I can second this, all 4 parts. Take a look into some behind the scenes on youtube to get some insight. Definitely worth the time, you'll learn a lot. And enjoy your way through it. Some of his tutorials inspired me to travel to the very same places and try to reproduce the learned :)

RGG EDU tutorials.. Frequency separation 2.0 and Commercial retouching workflow helped me a LOT. But I am a product photographer, so it depends on what are you shooting.
FS 2.0 helped my clean up skills to evolve a lot. I can now clean up texture much faster.
Need to re-watch Commercial R.W. again to fully understand the advanced masking process.

So this tut. and another for product lighting (Photigy has some nice ones) and you are all set for Product Photography.

I saw Fashion Photography Exposed when it first came out (before Breed) and I couldn't stomach it. Melissa Rodwell is SO irritating to listen to. I think Amanda Diaz is similar.

RGGEDU Frequency Separation 2.0 is the most useful tutorial I've watched. It's rare that I don't use it in some capacity when retouching. Whether it's product or portrait, it makes cleanup/editing so much easier. And for some reason, I really liked Earth Oliver's delivery. A bit like watching Eeyore explaining how to remove glare.

The most disappointing was Annie Leibovitz's Masterclass. While her work is solid, from an educational standpoint, it completely missed the mark.

Richard Wood Portrait Masters Class was amazing his comments on storytelling and creativity really helped me a ton, I have loved everything I have seen by John Keatley! In regards to creativity, Miss Aniela's CreativeLive course helped with that but it would also put me to sleep alot like the RGGEDU Erik Almas class great but might as well be a tranquilizer. I have been on the hunt for tutorials that are focused on creating a narrative in your images and it has been a challenge!
I second that Annie Leibovitz's Masterclass was a monumental disappointment.
