Thank you! Workupload restricts multi part archive files to 7 days. To get around it, you can just zip each part of the archive in its own separate zip folder, which confuses their software and allows you to get rid of the 7-day limit.

 

No, what I mean is that when you compress into a multi part archive, whether it be rar (.part1, part2... files) or 7z (.001, .002 etc files), all the files are linked together so that when you unpack them they all unpack together. Workupload recognizes these as multi part archive files. But if you take each part of the archive file and simply zip them individually, workupload no longer sees them as multi part archives. So, if you take *.001, *.002, *.003, etc. and zip them individually, workupload won't place a 7 day restriction on them, but you can still share them all in 1 upload folder/link.

People downloading then just need to unzip each file, place all the multi-part archive files back in the same shared folder, and then run their unpacker the first file.

 

If you're referring to just renaming the final zip files, then sure, but if you're referring to renaming the initial .001/.002... files, then no, that won't work. .001/.002 etc are a different type of file than a .zip file, they're a more modern version of .rar essentially, so the equivalent to .001 (7zip files) if you were talking .rar would be .part files. Just check out any of my or @mr.c multi part files uploaded to workupload if you need to see an example of uploading multi part archive files - @mr.c uses winrar and I use 7zip.
