Request Filmbox

I have a 2 year licence (Nov30th 2025).
Production company I worked on a film with bought it then shut down when film completed giving me the license and associated email account.

 

Whats your review on filmbox? Are you willing to share the licence?

 

2 year access to full unrestricted version, hasnt even been downloaded or registered using the plug in manager yet so its fresh and ready to go.

 

I have read in several forums that it is good but not worth the money they charge which is way over priced and many have stated it is not much "better" than Dehancer... But I personally never tried it.. I think there is actually a free HD version but never tried it myself..

 

I've tried the lite (free) Filmbox version for a quick while, IMO Dehancer has a much better UI and control over the image but there is something slightly different about the color rendition that Filmbox gives that I much prefer than Dehancer. However, I do agree Filmbox is way too expensive for individual use.

 

OK, so what are you looking for, I do not think the License can be shared nor it is allowed to "sell" anything here...
I am sure there is somebody who could load this with the license and then maybe "fix" it for it to b shared but I highly doubt it if needs a connection all the time to work.
Even if you were to sell one of the licenses it is still way over priced for most people..

 

That may be true but unless you are grading a feature film I do not think anybody would notice the difference and if you are grading a feature film, the production company or post production would eat the cost of it no problem at ll. But that is not the case for the other 99% that would be interested in this..

 

filmbox is much simpler to use and is gives more pleasing colors when it comes to their film emulation. I very much still prefer the filmbox lite version over Dehancer (I have a pro version of Dehancer) for any 1080p timelines.

Yeah you can easily get lost while selecting options for films and prints in dehancer, and get some awkward results, filmbox gives more pleasing color and easier to work with, but its pricey as hell

 

Going to try it today but the good thing about Dehancer is once you figure it out it has more options and also works in many other programs like FCPX which is my main editing program.. FIlmBox is only For DaVinci resolve and most of my online clients just need FULL HD do the Lite version of Film Box my be worth a try...

Just tried it on a couple of clips but basically there is not much on the lite version... Only a few basic controls, so hard to tell to tell you the truth.. There is NO grain control and only one stock 250D DustandWeave option... So basically nothing...
Hard to judge as trial if there is not control over anything... I would rather have the full suite with a watermark for a trial version but I would never pay for it... It is WAY too expensive.
I could get all tose same effects with just color grading directly from Davinci and WAY more options with Dehancer which I already have for FCPX and Davinci...

 

It's going to be very difficult to find this stuff licensed. Maybe a charmed person would upload the license to make a fix. But when you offer a free version, people don't try so hard to fix the premium one. Anyways, I'm a +1 on the request.

Its price is too high. If the price is not so high, maybe we can buy it through group buying. But its price is completely unsuitable for group purchasing

 

1000$ with only 3 simultaneous use seats is never a good option for a GB I guess

 

I have always felt that its pricing is too high and is obviously unaffordable for ordinary players.

 

I get that VideoVillage has their own reasons for that price (I think in terms of 'film emulation' accuracy, they do nail it better than Dehancer) but mostly we don't need a 99.99% film emulation for 1000$.
