    The A7s3, Fx3 and Fx6 are game changing cameras, with incredible features, image quality and lowlight capability all in a super compact form factor.

    To me, the gold standard for colour science is still to be found in the ARRI Digital Camera family, and so using my own ARRI Amira as a benchmark, I developed a LUT that reverse engineers the colour science of the Alexa709 LUT, which I’ve always found to look filmic and natural, straight out of camera; The result is my ‘Phantom Neutral LUT.

    Thank you for this awesome goodie!

    Do you have the PDF files that come with it? They explain how to use it properly.

    There are plenty of videos and a pretty good description on the website if you look, Not much more than that I imagine. I use these on almost every shoot... There is not much to them, you need to properly expose for S-Log 3 which is best for getting any look, and you can use which ever "look" you like as there are several different ones. each has it's "unique" look... I usually use the standard neutral one on my monitor but also have the others loaded in my monitor and can swipe through several of them to see what they "look" like on my monitor when filming..
    The good thing is they are all pretty good and not too strong like many LUT's

    You can also try them on your editing software as well as these are not baked into your camera unless you want to. I use and have bought LUT manager which is amazing and allows you to preview many, as many as you want, in a separate gallery window before choosing the correct one..
    I highly recommend that app if you are trying many LUT's it is awesome!

    Hereis the PDF from last year's version which goes into more detail.

    You want to stick the phantom conversion LUT at the very end of your node tree before sharpening. Im using Final Cut and here is how mines looks. From start/top to last/bottom;

    1. White Balance.
    2. Exposure and major contrast adjustments.
    3. Finer contrast adjustments with tone/luma curve.
    4. Saturation.
    5. Phantom LUT conversion.
    6. Sharpen

    Hope this helps :)

    Thank you for sharing these. Do you know what the difference is between the 33x and the 65x LUTs? The previous version I had didnt have these different options. Thanks.

    @patrickeuphonic Joel explains it in the documentation. One is for monitor use, the other is for use in your NLE. Check section 7b (at least in the current version of the instructions).
