it's time to explore new horizon and STOP wedding ! 'cause too much Time in a day , too much time to edit photos ... too much time to print book for ..... not to much money !!! time to shift to mini-outdoor session and give to my client a super shot !!! print on beautiful canvas. what do you think about that? suggeston critique & comment are very welcome ! thanx in adv to all professionist here!
loool absolutely yes... my last bride's mother said me why the background in photo was blurry ... OMG!!!
After being a touring musician for many years and also doing many weddings in the process I was like no effing way will I shoot weddings because I know in advance what it can be like and many times it's just pure BS. I shoot wildlife because they don't bitch at you to Photoshop their 3 chins out of the shot.
Your photos are just beautiful!! However, by showing us your beautiful masterpiece, you are no longer anonymous, which may or may not what you want. Just proceed with extreme caution due to the number of items that you have shared and downloaded from this website. We briefly touched on this not too long ago: https://p-v.club/threads/photo-critique-section.3600/#post-9857 By the way, your Facebook photos are awesome!
@foto glam I'm not into weddings or so but I wonder: Isn't the most important and satisfying part of wedding photography when your clients are happy? I would not care if some aunty does not understand what my style is or what my clients expect. Usually they booked you because they liked your portfolio. Nice portraits by the way!
I'm going to have to disagree with some of these points. I did a break down of my 2018 season and of the (just over) 200k I made, 56.71401% of that was from weddings. (113k) Having made a custom color profiles for my cameras, my shoot > dump > cull (PM) > edit (LR) > export > upload (Zenfolio) process takes a day.. maybe a day and a half - really depends on the shooting environment at the time. I suspect the drain on time largely comes to having an inefficient system - and undervaluing yourself.
OMG that's a lot! What's the matter for being so precise about the percentage of 56.xxxxx Just curious, how many weddings did you shoot last year? And where are the other 43,28599% coming from?
I believe that if there are no satisfactions it is difficult to be able to work but at the same time you must deal with the economic part...it's a question of balance. Perhaps the best thing would be to cut out time for "only personal" projects. @foto glam your work is really nice but remove logo keeping to be anonymous. @convectuoso ...200K in 2018?! u rocks here (in forum) & out
Stunning m8! unfortunately in my zip code i can't be a 5k photographers even if my passion married with my work should be paid for this. there's a sort of photographic ignorance where i work and very little percentage of people really understand my work , let me explain my store is in shopping center where the people want spend less for more
The million dollar (or in this case six figure) question, how do I make a custom color profiles for my cameras? Any tutorial available for this? TIA
