I came across this Chinese website that shares a LUT bundle that is created base on the Filmbox plugin itself. Kinda interesting but it's of course locked behind a monthly-sub membership paywall

Just curios if any of the guys that bought this through the special "way" are happy with their purchase?

 

Yes, very happy with Filmbox and Scatter on Windows. No issues after using a few months, and remote install isn't necessary anymore. The only issue is I prefer editing on mac and will need to buy it again haha.

 

Are you able to export LUTs from the plugin?

 

So they don't use the remote desktop method anymore for activation for new purchases?

 

Yes, but don't find them very impressive without the spatial effects.

Not for Windows at least, it's just an installer and entering a response code from the seller to activate. Rather than remote desktop install with TeamViewer or whatever, which I didn't like the idea of.

 

I am also MAC only, what is the process with Mac and you mentioned it is no longer necessary to remote install? What is the process now then? Thanks for any information

 

I don't know what the install process is on mac as I haven't bought it yet, but will update you if I do.

 

I agree 100%. I plan on using them for photography (using the LUTs to create profiles in Adobe LR) and then adding the Dehancer grain and halation.

 

I just checked with them. Definitely still remote install on Mac...

Edit: So they can do it without remote access but you only get one install.

 

What is the price right now for windows?

 

Thanks, What is the price more or less and what does one install mean? I am curios as I have a VPN and my IP changes all the time, does that have any affect on the plug-in ? Does the plugin check your installed IP every time you use it? And If you choose remote way, do they install again when there are updates to the plugin? Sorry but not sure what the difference is between 1 install or the other you mentioned. Thanks for clearing that up if you can.

Hey, Thanks on a Mac? and is it through an IP address or something? That is my concern as I change My IP address almost every day with a VPN.
And Scatter looks pretty cool...
And if so does it also change if you update your Davinci for any reason? Since they are still on Beta 19 seems better to wait until the full Release of 19 or no ?
