If you really want this look I think there is no need to wait. Just taking Tom Bolles' Cineprint and mess around because most of the stuffs in Digifilm node tree is a near 1:1 version of Tom's but slightly different here and there.

There was a time I saw the creator of this powergrade put up Cineprint on sale on his own website but he took it down as he made his own 'Digifilm'. He totally knew what was he up to.

I remember the author himself said that his powergrade was modified or simplified based on Cineprint16, which seems to be the case in my memory

Making his own interpretation of film look then sell it is totally fine, but reselling someone else's work just doesn't sound right to me.

Yeah, initially he probably sold Cineprint16 on his own website. Later on, he used his own understanding and created his own powergrade before selling it

That's why he can just use Cineprint because the merit of that look is virtually derived from Tom's work

I do use cineprint, its good, but too much and often a times too time taking for an 8 bit creator, also as far as that comment of mine goes it was again only about trying it out, not buying, ofcourse i wont buy something unless i absolutely adore it, theres a reason i bought shift, it was just that good for my workflow

look bro, you didn't start of by suggesting, you started of by taunting, and that makes you just another policing adult, who just cant take that someone has a different preference and is in a stage where he is still open to trying & figuring out his own process.

Oh that 8-bit part was definitely a pain-point I admit, Tom's grade would suit best for 10bit recorder as his color pipeline (subtractive sat) is heavily adjusted which I realized when grading my fujifilm 8bit footages, you would only need to twist those slider and knobs under that subtractive sat compound nodes and eye-check the footage to see if the color artifacts disappear. That's my way to work around the cineprint. Just drop me a dm if you need any good film look template node trees (not heavily graded) that you can work your way through with 8bit.

You miss the part where I suggested Cineprint and it turns out that your godfather 8bit ragib dupe it and repackaged it as Digifilm.

You missed the part where i told you i have used cine print, its good, but definitely not suited for quick 8 bit work, and the part where i said, stop with the policing and stop talking about other peoples interests, just like you missed the part where someone taught you how to talk to talk to people with respect and without projecting you own insecurities

If you need to ask anything about this all cineprint stuff, I'm all happy to help with. And yes the color science of older sony models kinda sucks to me (not of those from cineline like fx30 or above). My first go-to tips for quick workaround when using Cineprint is just dial down the gain output of "subtractive saturartion" node, it will help you mitigate color artifacts that are already available in 8-bit footage. I have played around with every grade available on the market that is claimed "best film emulation", I'm mainly shooting with my Fuji X-H1 which is 8-bit and to me serr's grade is the most tolerable when it comes to handling color and I've decided to move along with his grade and stop using Tom's grade after a good while. I'll be back to using Tom's grade when I upgrade my gear,

Bro, personally, I think Sony's original colors are not rotten, but rather Sony's original colors are too realistic. It completely restores the original colors, which makes people look very unique. This is my personal understanding
