    Sorry for the late reply.
    I use a light meter to measure the light, something that Karl Taylor is a bit against, but I've used his technique, although I measure the light with my Sekonic at first, and then adjust the flash heads until I have 250 to 255 on the acrylic that I use to set up the objects.
    The technique itself is very useful and allows you to get the white just right in the camera
    I prefer to use the Sekonic because, unlike Karl, I can't afford to fire the flashes like crazy until I get the values right - every shot is money thrown away.

    Thank you @jmgcg1 for the tip & info. I have a Sekonic as well and this is an excellent tip. Will use it next time.
