I have been designing cushion photo collages on photoshop. Overnight the size of my new photoshop files seemed to increase dramatically.

My psd/psb files were all about 1 - 4 GB in size and then the new files started to be in the 10 -15 GB range.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I may have done?

    Thank you.

Sounds like a question more suited for the Adobe Photoshop community pages, than here. However, make sure you give them work data... OS complete version, Photoshop version and last update and probably a sample of these files before and after.

When you save them, what do you get is 10 to 15 Gb?
Are there duplicate layers that you're not seeing? Duplicate channels, these increase the weight of the file, although I find it strange to go from 1 to 10 Gb

I was creating layout templates to use for a photo book. My pages were either 12x12 or 12x14. I had a solid background with noise added. I then pasted different .12" thick frames with a bevel and a solid smaller frame to use for clipping. The first pages I made varied in size from 600MB to 1.2GB then the next day using the same process my pages were ranging in size from 2.4 to 12GB. I read some where to wipe and reload photoshop to possibly correct the issue but cannot find where I read that again.

DesertFox thank you for your recommendation I will reach out to the community pages.

    maybe this:
How to reset the preferences in Adobe Photoshop: Press Ctrl +K (PC) or cmd +K (Mac). Click on "Reset Preferences on Quit" in the "General" tab and press OK to confirm.

Ok this already happen to some of my students.
When creat a new document instead of 30 cm,we use cm as measure they wrongly put 30 meters, this allways leads to bigger files. Just check if you change the file.
Believed me this happens a lot.

You can also reset preferences on photoshop start. Press shift+crl+alt. Keep them pressed and click on photoshop icon. An vox will appear and ask if you want to delete preferences file
