The GF63mmF2.8 was released alongside the GFX 50S on day one and is potentially among the least exciting lenses available for the system. It doesn’t have any stand-out features like a super-fast aperture, a unique focal length or a silent and swift linear motor. What it does bring to the table, though, is a dependable, jack-of-all-trades offering for the GFX system. It is the ‘normal’ lens on the system and you can consider it as essentially a scaled-up XF35mmF1.4.

Much like the XF10-24mmF4, this lens is very much at the ultra-wide-angle end of the focal length scale. Also, much like that lens, the Tamron incorporates a weather-resistant design and a stepping motor for rapid and accurate autofocus. Just like the XF lens, the Tamron is also an excellent choice for any type of photography where you need a wide field of view or significant perspective distortion.
