@Nikon4life Great thanks! ;) By the way are you really a Nikon shooter '4 life' or is it just a fancy name? I mean I like my camera for sure but I would not rule out the possibility of switching brands (which I already did 2 or 3 times).

    Good God - no.
I started with an old film Nikon - then had a Minolta (X700 - I think?). Then had (have) a nice Leica manual (one can get around the expenses of the brand - but they ARE solid). Went back to Nikon for digital - the colors (at the time were way better than Canon) and the flash system was 10-fold better at the time. Then they (Nikon and Canon) were hop-scotching each other. Considered switching to Canon because their rendition of colors did eventually catch up and the lenses were really beautiful (and I believe the diameter of their mount [talking about EF] allows for shallower DOF). It depends on what the subject is too - for wildlife (especially birding); arguably Nikon. If incorporating video as well - definitely Canon. All in the meantime - one "collects" glass over time and eventually becomes well-invested - Nikon (as well as Zeiss and Voigtländer has some excellent old glass if willing to shoot in manual). So thus the tongue-in-cheek moniker - Nikon4Life. Fuji has some excellent offers on brand - but more importantly - they listen to their customers.

But perhaps the greatest lesson is one NEVER stops learning and the equipment really doesn't matter - you will shoot like you no matter what camera ya have. Along a parallelism: a great guitar player will still sound great on a basic set-up Strat. A middle-o-da-road player will likewise sound their same on a 10-15k Master-built custom instrument. But there is also truth in feeling inspired by what you have in hand . . . wink.gif

Hey that is a great answer to my question!:)
Yeah, I agree that we as photographers are truly blessed to be lifelong learners in our profession.
Therefore we're also both here. ;)
And yes it's the inspiration that counts. The endless possibilities of photographic excellence in all its varieties.
Cameras can be one aspect in that process. At best, they facilitate the transformation of an idea into impactful images.
I noticed also with myself that the first photos with a brand new camera take the image composition to the next level. Just because there is this element of new and excitement.
So switching camera brands can also be quite beneficial to keep the creative juices flowing. Something I also noticed with famous photographers such as Helmut Newton.
