I have been investigating this and you all know the LUT's in this pack are not for LOG footage nor for real color grading, correct? They are only for CGI, Video games and NON linear grades. The only other thing in the pack of Linny is their XMP's and TIFFS which are for Raw photography files. So basically they are a type pf "preset" for Raw images.

Not sure what pack you are referring to, but I spoke personally with the owner of Brim and he wrote me saying the VINNY VFX pack comes with LUT's that are NOT for regular color grading. Here is his quote :
"Hey , LinnyVFX is specifically designed for linear images or videos. RAW stills, linear JPG/TIFF stills, linear VFX/CGI compositing assets, plates, 3D, video games, and motion cameras that capture sequences of images as RAW DNGs or high-bitrate linear videos, older Blackmagics, Ikonoskop, Digital Bolex. Excluding log material, does not work on log. In contrast, normal Linny (non-LinnyVFX) kits are tailored for specific log-shooting cinema cameras and their associated log shooting formats."

Yes and No, hahahaha Nothing is really "clear" about their luts and bundles. I think it is one of the most confusing Lut's sold anywhere, not to mention the most expensive. They are good, I have almost everything from them, but they have some kind of cult mystery to them since there is NO tutorial or any YouTube channels talking about them or showing the "proper" work flow to get the looks they show on their website. Most who have "figured" them out are not willing to show their work flow bc it is a big conspiracy hahahahaha. I have been using them a lot lately and like them but like any other LUT , they need a personal touch to get the color you like. They is no such thing as a magical out or color grade. The xmp for Raw photos is also pretty good. Been playing around with them but I do not really do any photography much anymore. Just played with them on some older Raw images I have.
I have everything from them except the VFX LUTS and do not care bc they are not for regular video grading and I already have the Linny Sucomo V3 LUTS, not just the SPK pack.

 

The product being expensive is fine but man the lack of technical overview is crazy to me.

 

I am talking about Linny LUT for Arri LogC3, LogC4 I’ve graded before RED footage, Sony with some adjustments

 

Because it isn’t for ‘influencers’ or beginners It’s for sure for people who knows how to grade it

 

What about Cinny combined with SPK? Isn't Cinny the "missing part" for grading Arri footage, since we already have SPK?

 

No, I do not think so... But who knows... That's the million dollar question! I have all their Luts except Cinny but do not think Cinny is anything "special" it is just a conversion lut , nothing special if you ask me...

 

This came from their PDF, technically Linny/ Cinny works totally fine with the print kit but I've found no info about the difference between Linny and Cinny LUT.
