Steffen Böttcher

Steffen Böttcher is not only known to insiders in the wedding industry. Under the lable "Style Pirate" he has become an indispensable part of the German-speaking photography scene. Marco Schwarz

With Marco Schwarz we have won another fantastic speaker who is part of the wedding photography industry for ages now. With his label "Schwarzbild Photography" and as a member of the "Bildpoeten" he’s in the top ranks of German wedding photographers. His lecture will focus on how to make a living from your passion and how to balance out art and commercialism.

Hafenliebe

When it comes to photojournalism and documentary wedding photography, it doesn't take long before you come across Jessy & Björn of Hafenliebe. With their emotional, atmospheric picture series you get directly drawn into the action and immediately become a part of it. They don't intervene, they want it to be as pure as possible. In their lecture, they use three examples to explain why it's not about the photographer behind the camera but about the couple. And why a great destination wedding doesn't necessarily depend on a particularly epic place.

Peaches & Mint

In contrast to the previous speakers, Pia Clodi from Peaches & Mint is probably the underdog of the wedding industry. If you are looking for inspiration and want to experience photography from a completely different perspective, you are in the right place. Pia has a complete upside down approach on weddings. She belongs to the small group of European photographers who do all their work in analog medium format. Honestly, this woman had the guts to photograph Manuel Neuer's* wedding this way. In her lecture, she talks about Slow Photography, why you should have more courage to go portrait and why it is important to delegate certain things.

*Manuel Neuer is a German professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper and captain for both Bayern Munich and the Germany national team. In 2014 he won the FiFa World Cup and is considered to be the best goalkeeper of all times.

Tim Raue

Yes, that's right, Tim Raue was also a speaker at the largest German wedding photography conference. And surely one wonders what one of the most famous German star chefs wants to teach at such an event. Very much, we can tell! There are probably few crafts in which the pressure is so damn high, the hierarchies are so close and the manners are so rough. You have to perform at top level to survive. Working under high pressure is Tim Raue's daily routine. The star chef himself tells us how to deal with this pressure while remaining true to individuality and how to use his experience as a photographer. Very provocativ, as usual.

Lukas Piatek

If you don't know Lukas Piatek, the founder of Looks Like Film, you really have some catching up to do. There are few who have become as much the incarnation of a destination wedding photographer in Germany as he has. His assignments take him to all corners of the world, from Iceland to India, from New York to Barbados. In his lecture, Lukas explains how to get the jobs for destination weddings and what the pitfalls are. Paul liebt Paula

The topic of the lecture: Visual language. For many wedding photographers, the delicate melancholy and roughness of Paul's dark, coarse-grained pictures have become the epitome of alternative wedding photography. Like Marco Schwarz, the two of them were members of the "Bildpoeten" for a long time and photographed weddings for many years. To concentrate more on their label "Krautkopf", they decided to turn their backs on wedding photography. This leaked out shortly before the conference and was officially confirmed by the two on stage. All the better that we had the opportunity to hear them again about this topic at the "Keep it Real"-conference and could ask some questions. A real rarity!

York Place Studios

Keep it Real – this principle fits like a glove at York Place Studios in England. Dom and Liam transfer their street photography roots to weddings. They literally keep it real! Ordinary moments and situations are photographed by them in an incomparable, interesting and creative way. You don't need extraordinary places with extraordinary people to create a successful documentary. They tell us how they manage to capture their partly bizarre moments in every situation with a lot of humor.
