Does anyone know if the frequency separation actions for this training have been updated for Photoshop 2020? Please share if you have them. Thanks.

 

They work on CC2020. I just run the action now on a furniture photo. All the filters that the action uses are common to old versions of Photoshop.

 

@jmgcg1 thanks for verifying they work. I think I'm using them correctly now. I've had to re-watch sections of this training multiple times. The instructor teaches an exceptionally useful technique, but in my opinion...kind of sucks at teaching, at least in this tutorial. He's clicked a bunch of things on and off and if you missed it, well it's a little confusing. That's why I've had to watch it twice and slow some of his mouse movements down. Still definitely worth watching for the overall technique.

 

I agree with you. Although I´m an ACE and ACI in Photoshop and use it since version 3, I found the tutorial confusing and lots of bla bla.
We click and clicks again its confusing. But it's easy to use. You Start with the Low Median, you can only use the High Median after using the Low, if you try to use the high first, Photoshop will give a message box saying that " The object "RGB channel of layer "Low Median" is not currently available"

 

That's what I had mistakenly run first, the high median and received the error. Initially, that's why I thought there might be a new action set. I've been using it successfully with skin retouching now. I'll probably have to watch the whole thing a third time just to make sure I'm not missing anything else LOL.
