I have watched some of Max Rive's tutorials (the white mountain etc.) and saw that he has a very different approach of using photoshop. I think not all of us will get used to it. In that tutorials he never uses layers, layer masks. Just using clone stamp tool. He makes a copy of the original image and changes it as he likes, then uses this image on the image he edits by clone stamp tool.
Actually, I was expecting more professional approach for his edits. At the end, his photos are liked by millions of people. There are ways of things to do in photoshop, but I mean we may not fullfill our expectations by getting this tutorial if his approach in this tutotial is same as the others.

 

What's the difference between this tutorial and others he released in the past? Is this kind of a bundle of all tutorials in the past?

I don't know the difference actually. I think this is an education in composition. Such as starting from location selection to final product. If we are looking for just post-processing parts, we may not fulfill our expectations from this and it may not worth it.

I was in but after watching his some tutorials this price may not worth it, maybe?

 

There is no point, just sharing my opinions. Should there be a point to write here? Yes, I will decide and buy if I like, or vice versa.

Just saying, do not buy things blindly!

 

I think there would be something to learn there. If not post processing, may be planning and execution?
100 USD at launch price looks like a steal. But I would purchase if there are 10 slots in GroupBuy.

 

Yeah I agree that his post processing workflow is very destructive and can't be an ideal one. But you can learn some tips on how he works on certain landscapes/moods without using any third party plugins.
Anyway this tutorials talks about composition, in field techniques, scouting and other stuffs.
