Anyone know how to create this video effect?

    Hey guys! Does anyone know how to create this scene effects. It is from a movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid. 1:54

    How do they capture it? do they like take hundreds of photos? or just video? Enlighten me guys, im still learning.

    i guess its just a bunch of jump cuts followed by a still frame for a certain amount of time.

    @sinatra If u interpret the footage to low frame like 4-5 and then time remap and pause very little on each frame u get a similar look.
    I guess there is a script or plugin for it. Otherwise its time consuming.

    Yeah i think that's the general idea, fast jump cuts and still frame. But the way the shots move is so subtle, it looks like a hyperlapse.

    Interpret the footage to low frames, I've never thought of that. It seems like it could work. But you're right it would be time consuming. I would give it try.
