Apple M1 chip feedback needed

I am using one of the M1 laptops, base model. I have to say this thing is super fast. Although it was slow getting some of the adobe products to install I finally did and wanna say that most adobe updates should run fine. I also am running logic Pro on it and it is awesome. The two thunderbolt inputs are definitely a limitation but the newer models they rolled out this week look like they listened to the customer complaints about such things. These machines look to be very promising. Using After Effects has been a joy on this new M1. Render times are fast. Check it

 

I am on mini m1 16gb.2tb .... it's blazing fast compared to my old macpro 8 core 32gb . H265 and 4k 10 bit footage is so easy to edit.btw fcp is my main editing application.

 

Does Capture One also work smooth?
My Macbook Pro 16" 2018 have some lags with the i7 and 16 GB RAM. And even the new lightroom starts the loud fan, it is getting hot. So i consider upgrading to the new models.

 

I haven't use Macbook or Mac air m1. I am om Mac mini m1.

 

I have base MB Air m1 - this is great machine! All software even non native - work fast and beautiful. My base m1 Air work much faster than my iMac 5k 2017 with 32gb ddr4, Radeon Pro 580.

Must recommended!!!

 

I will wait if the new mac mini is coming and then decide to go with the new macbooks or the mini

Is it really difficult to install pirated/cracked software on M1 pro OR M1 Max? I have licence version of Photoshop & Light-room but looking forward to install soft wares like screenflow, wonder-share filmora etc and some plugins like RA academy panels and other editing panels, NIK collection, exposure etc.. really confused..I am die hard fan of Mac & don't wish to go for win laptop..

I don't think so, windows crack haven't been updated in a while

 

My niece is looking to get into Photography and I was going to give her my old 2017 iMac 5k to edit her images and teach her how to use Lightroom and Photoshop....I know it isn't fast enough but I was thinking of getting her a Mac mini 1 or mini 2 and use the iMac just as a screen...any of you guys tried this and is it good enough to run those programmes without any issues?

 

I've been using the macbook pro (M1) since it came out and it's still going strong. Photo editing isn't an issue speed-wise, and even editing full ProRes 4444 4k video footage is smooth. I think that a mini 1 will be plenty to do photo editing. The only thing I would consider is making sure that you have enough RAM.

 

Bare minimum would be 16GB of RAM and 512/1TB SSD.
Then, you should be good to go.

It may work but it also leads to memory leaks and laggy interface and its dependent on software updates so I won't opt for such a solution.

 

Yeah,I saw that but some of the reviews I have read a lot of people have issues with the software.

 

Ok, i have M1 mini and M2 imac, i havent tried or tested it yet.
