i find that posing is my weakest point i do mainly fashion photography but love portrait and beauty also . albert watson is my favorite photographer and love the poses in his photographs . any course suggestions or books to improve my posing?
Lindsay Adler is the best. Check her posing course for all types of women's body structure! Her course gains me lots of money last year, I am shooting lifestyle portraits for fashion bloggers and fashion labels.
I find that it's easier to learn a system for couples photography first can help, because it provides structure for directing people (they don't know what to do, and you tell them). SLR Lounge Couples Photography has a pretty simple system in it. As far as models go, I fluctuate between directing the model (telling them what I want) and working with the model (collaborating on poses using a mix of their strong points). This will depend on the experience of the model as well as whether you are shooting an editorial for someone else, or shooting something for the model's portfolio. Many of these systems have good material like Roberto Valenzuela but can be quite complicated, and some models simply won't do it if they don't like it, like flow posing.
