same procedure like the 2020 version
just change the regedit CXS 10 because 2021 is based on version 10
PS 2020 is based on CSX 9

 

Does anyone have the issue where it installs fine but when you run INKLAB on a photo, it resizes the DPI, but nothing else happens to the image? It just stays the same. I'm using Photoshop 2021 legit version.

 

which settings are you choosing for resizing the image?
dont use something like 600 dpi or more
stay at 300 dpi or below
way to heavy for processing and stuff

 

Yes I am trying 72 dpi and 300 dpi, and it resizes the image to that DPI but it doesn't apply any of the halftone effects. In the layers panels, it says "Initializing" and "[Inklab] Processing" but that's it. Please see the screenshot below:

got sometimes the same problem especially with the 1.0.0 version
but everything worked fine with installing the 1.0.3 version
but it is a common problem
which version of inklab you got?

 

It is 1.0.3

I just solved the issue. If Inklab shows it's stuck at 'Initializing' in the Layers Panel, then you have to goto Preferences > General > Reset Preferences at Quit

Glad you worked it out, that's not an InkLab issue but a Photoshop one. I had the same problem when updating to 1.0.3, its just the conflicting files & settings within Photoshop that need to be reset for some reason.

is the plugin still working?
i haven't used it for several months and now, after reinstalling Windows, this plugin requires a key

 

yes it is still working! I just installed it a few days ago on photoshop 2021. I also had a key request but I somehow fixed it.

 

Yeah, it asks me for the key too. I really thought that the plugin was not working at all, now I'll try to install it again. By the way, if you remember how you solved this problem, please let me know

 

unfortunately, I don't remember. Did you add Playerdebugmode 1 in Regedit? I think I manually added it. There are folders called CSXS (I have CSXS.9 and CSXS.10) and I had to add it to CSXS.10. Let me know it this helped

 

Thanks for the help. I understood what the problem was. After installing version 1.0.0, I got a folder ....\username\Documents\Inklab\Local with user.json inside. Then i installed 1.0.3 and it worked fine. If you delete this folder or a file that is created inside it, then version 1.0.3 will not work. So to solve this problem you can create this folder manually and put this file there

UPD: You can also copy the user.json file from the pastaclaus archive into ....\username\Documents\Inklab\Local folder
