In photography, light is everything. Come along with five photographers as they seek out beautiful light in its many forms: indoors and out, north to south, backlight, low light, soft light, and beyond. Watch as they approach a scene, find the light, and harness its radiance to produce incredible photos.

You’ll go behind the scenes during different times of day to capture the light with Shalonda, Anna, Julie, Breanna, and Danielle.

Explore with them through shooting videos, pullbacks, and light diagrams. You’ll see exactly how each photographer positioned her subject (and herself!) relative to the light to create their magical images. Come along….indoors and out, north to south, midday to blue hour.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Shalonda Chaddock is the face and camera behind Chubby Cheek Photography. She is a nationally published child photographer based out of Houston Texas, where she is drowning in glitter and princess dresses with her two daughters and the love of her life. Her shooting style focuses on the magic of childhood and finding the unique sparkle within each child.

Anna Larson is a wife, mother to three and documentary photographer. She creates personal work daily and photographs the stories of others through commissioned work. Her family resides in Olympia, WA. The lush, endless evergreens and grey skies provide plenty of inspiration. Her days are filled with raising children, gardening, cooking and making.

Fascinated by history and photography, and inspired by the organized chaos of raising her three children, Breanna Peterson lives in Kodiak, Alaska, documenting their every day. She sees herself offering her children a tangible piece of history in the form of photographs, and has become quite passionate about doing the same for other families.

Danielle Awwad is a natural light photographer who focuses in the areas of fine art, lifestyle and environmental portraiture. She lives on a large hay farm in Michigan with her husband, three small children and a lot of animals. Danielle is a light seeker and is drawn to all types of natural light. She enjoys documenting her family and their daily adventures of farm living. When she is not behind the camera you will often find her outdoors, riding her horses or cooking with her children.

Julie Paisley is a wife to her college sweetheart and a mama to two of the coolest kiddos on the planet. She lives in Nashville and is a Hybrid (both film and digital) wedding photographer and mentor and has had the privilege of traveling the world shooting weddings and teaching workshops. Known for her love of light and the ability to capture real emotion, Julie’s work can be described as “dreamy, romantic and real”.
