Color Cast Removal Action & Anchor Points (Like Archetype Magic Button)

    The Magic Button is a Photoshop action that removes color casts from an image and anchors the black and white points giving more pleasing natural contrast. It is design to be run on images before making adjustments.


    I made this action myself. While this is not the actual action from The Archetype Process, it does the same thing. It removes color casts and then anchors the black and white points.

    Hope it helps you. Better than paying $35.00!

    FINAL MAGIC MOVES is the name of the action and it works universally on all images.

    Decided to make 3 in one.

    1. SORCERY - Full action.
    2. BLACK MAGIC COLOR - Color correction only.
    3. ANCHOR SPELL - Auto white and black point only.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    If I open my raw as a 16 bit, it still works for me.

    Make sure when you open your 16 bit image, you select "Layer from Background" and make sure there are no other layers open.

    Is this updated for PS2020? I didn't dig deep into it, but ran the action and didn't observe a significant change - but in PS2015 it worked amazingly well - - - thanks! ;)

    Yes indeed . . . :D. Have a dedicated laptop which I keep offline and only for tethering, culling, and edits using PS / CO; slap on a Wacom and external monitor and have at it. Very tired of the upgrade game and having the "tail wag the dog" - - - what works, works well and I've provisioned a sweet-spot of "balance" and harmony (fingers crossed :rolleyes:). It's simply dumb-founding how one single "upgrade" to something in the chain could brick a whole series of functions-of-worflow because of a sole incompatibility issue . . .
