Are there any alternatives to pixeldrain?
I already have subscriptions to other download services, using another one becomes really too expensive....

@IronMarco You don't need a subscription to pixeldrain to download from it. But yeah, there are a pile of file hoster websites. One of the most economical things to do is subscribe to a service like real-debrid or all-debrid - you pay them and they essentially crowdsource paid accounts with the majority of the paid services for full download speeds.

Using a VPN (which I assume everyone is here anyway - if not, you should be) will also get you around a lot of data caps by changing your IP address when you disconnect/reconnect.

If I change the IP address during a download, will any of the files get corrupted? Or does a file need to be completely downloaded before switching IP address in order to avoid errors?

If you're doing a direct download, it will likely "break" the download, so you should wait until everything you have in the pipeline is finished. If you're using a download manager, like jDownloader or something similar, many of those can more gracefully handle those types of situations and can resume the download in many cases.

But something to keep in mind is that many of these cloud-based services operate by providing a temporary token to download a file based on IP address, so if you change your IP address mid-stream, even services like jDownloader may not be able to resume.

So your safe bet is just to wait, toggle your VPN, and then initiate a new batch.

Edit: I just realized that I misunderstood your question @Jupiter - no the files won't get corrupted in the case of an abrupt download interruption, they'll just not finish downloading so you'd just have to download again.
