To those who have gone through the course - What's your take on it, in comparison to Fulltime Filmmaker's editing course, or AcidBite?

Edit: So I've gone through most of the Hayden Hillier-Smith Editing course from CreatorNow. Here are my thoughts.

    1. This was the least technical editing course I've ever been through and I loved it.The entire course is a condensed delivery of Hayden's experience and thought process with the first week being a good intro into the general industry thought process and terminology. I suggest a lot of additional research and reading based of the provided information. There isn't a lot of new information, esp for those of us who might have read a bit in the part; However, the information is presented in a brief well-presented manner easy to digest and act-upon.
    2. The complete course was about the methodology and the thought process behind the editing, and it can be applied on any editing tool/process and fit into any level of production.
    3. The ideas and methods discussed are also good for Directors, Cinematographers and Producers who can interact and collaborate better with their editors.
    4. If you are looking for a walkthrough of any specific tool, pick any other course. I suggest Fulltime Filmmaker's Davinci Resolve editing course for a quick start on that tool. There are equivalents for Premiere and FCP.
    5. The entire course is a quick watch, but there is enough to think about and process to completely understand the information. If you have the time, go through the course in the same weekly manner as it was originally designed to be (if you can get through the convoluted interface).
    6. Sit through the AMAs. They are a bit draggy, but a lot of the usual questions are answered on there; and they are a solid value for the time spent there.

Overall, it is a very concise non-technical course about the thought process and the creativity behind the editing process. And it totally achieves the goal of any course from that perspective. A 4/5 with a full 5* if/when the full sound mixing video gets pushed out as well.
