Q: Is DADS VHS 4k? What is the resolution of the files?

A: All of DADS VHS files are delivered in their native resolution of 640x480, or 480p. There are 2 reasons behind this. First, when these files were captured from VCRs, they are recorded over RCA connection which has a native resolution of 640x480. Delivering 4k files would simply be just as useful as the user upscaling it themselves. Second, the native resolution maintains the interlace/de-interlace properties of the files giving the user more capability to modify the effects. This also keeps the files size small while maintaining the highest quality possible
