I'm having issues with lightroom booting any of the nik * plugins when i choose 'edit in' then choose whichever Nik8 plugin, it works fine in my photoshop - anyone else having this issue???? or have a solution please
Yes, perspective efex was removed from Nik Collection since version 7. BTW, I've updated Viewpoint to version 5.5 here: https://p-v.club/threads/dxo-viewpoint-5-5-0-1multilingual-x64-win.53250/#post-322312
thank you anyone else commented that nik 8 isnt opening from lightroom when you try use it from there to edit an image, did an uninstall and reinstall and still same for me, unless it's something in the settings of LR i need to change, thanks very much getting VP5 now

Does not work for me. After applying the Patch I get this error when starting the software: The license could not be verified due to a server error
The patch worked for me. In fact, all the patches based on the jaguar head have been reliable and have worked in previous DXO Nik Collection cracks. You're the first person to report that it didn't work, so please check that you are following the correct sequence.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. I deleted everything from the old installation, reinstalled, and applied the patch. I still get the message "The activation process failed due to an unknown server error." My PC is disconnected from the Internet. I need help! Could someone send me the patched files?
More information would be ideally needed. E.g. in the patch window you have bottom left a blue area - right mouse click and you can extract the patch information AFTER the patching was done. The menu reads "Copy to Clipboard". My issue is, when I unblock the app, I no longer see the registration error, but Nik Collection crashes after a minute or so. I am overall no longer using the nik collection as I do not like the look on my pictures especially Silver Efex is creating (like it when I started) Will uninstall it now again. Hope this helps but again be more descriptive / share logs/window screenshots with stuff like this.
First of all, thanks for your reply. I also got the blue patcher window message (but it still gives me an error!). The application isn't blocked by the firewall, but my PC is disconnected from the Internet. Tonight I'll try launching Nik by first connecting my PC to the Internet. I also read that it might deactivate after 37 days (for unofficial versions). Thanks. BYE
From DxO: Practical information • You can activate your Nik Collection 8 software on up to 3 computers. • An internet connection is required to use the software and specifically for its activation. After online activation, Nik Collection can be used offline for 37 days before a connection to DxO’s servers is required. Notifications advising that a connection is needed will be displayed after 30 days.
Yes, that seems to explain a lot. I'm actually permanently connected to the internet and have never had any issues with Nik Collection validation. Unless you have a good reason not to be connected to the internet, it seems that, once you are connected, you will be able to activate the Nik Collection.
So, when I activate the Internet connection, the software works again, but it's unusable. After opening it, it closes after a few seconds (less than a minute) and is impossible to work with. This happens in both Photoshop and standalone. I also noticed that when I delete the nikcollection8.key license, the software asks for an alphanumeric code to enter in the panel. Could entering a valid code be the solution?
This happens to me also, tried all that I know, even patching from within the created main folder and still just force closes after about 5 seconds. Ive just reverted back to using a previous version.
I've just checked on my system and, to my surprise, it closed after a few seconds. This has never happened before. Could it be related to a recent Photoshop update? @Dav3, could you please confirm which version works for you? I will edit the thread, remove the last version, and update the download link to point to the working version.
Usually, a Photoshop update doesn't modify 3 party plugins or programs. The only reason it came to my mind in this situation is major update but from version X to Y, regular updates? Hummm strange
