Learn the secrets of lighting, color and post-production for a fashion shoot
Color and lighting are the main ingredients in the photography of Fernando Rodríguez - known internationally as The Nobody Photography, the pseudonym with which he signs the numerous photographs that have appeared in publications around the world. A technique with which he likes to experiment in search of a solid visual identity.

Focused on beauty and fashion photography, with his editorials he always finds a story line that helps him tell a story. In this course, you will be taught to conceptualize a fashion photographic production with a special focus on the use of light and color in photography. It will show you the process to carry out an editorial, from the first steps to post-production in Photoshop.

You will begin by discovering the way in which Fernando documents himself for his publishers and you will choose the theme for your project. You will also learn to create a moodboard that helps you outline the lighting, styling, makeup and any other relevant element for production.

To continue, you will define the color palette that best suits your project, as well as the ideal lighting scheme.

You will learn to select and work with a model according to the needs of your publisher, as well as the essential points that you must take into account before choosing them. In addition, Fernando will give you the guidelines to organize the team of professionals who will help you during the photo shoot, from the assistant to the makeup manager.






It will be then when you go into the studio, the lights turn on and you stand behind the camera to start shooting. Fernando will tell you about the equipment he usually uses and will give you some tips to prepare your lighting scheme.

You will see what a professional shooting with Fernando and his team looks like inside, in which five different looks will be made , varying the lighting, makeup and wardrobe.






Once the photographs are taken, you will learn to develop the RAW files to be able to work on post-production in Photoshop, to take care of the framing and to use the blending tool correctly.

You will learn how to treat skin and hair with the frequency separation technique. You will also discover how to use the mask and sharpen tools and how to create and load actions in Photoshop to automate processes in a professional way.

To give depth to your image, you will learn to use the "dodge and burn" technique, providing localized lights and shadows. Using your predefined palettes you will finish making the color retouching in your photographs.

Finally, Fernando will teach you to put together the editorial and how to prepare it for the different media.
