Request Filmbox

I have a two year subscription and had a quick look last night for first time and I must say it does do a great job. The film emulation in really beautiful.

 

I know that currently they will use some shielding methods to remotely activate the plug-in for u and then block server detection, so that others can use the full version of the plug-in normally, but the process is too cumbersome. Hope someone can crack through the code

 

Yeah man I think Dehancer and Filmbox took the same approach in emulating film but different goals. Dehancer gives you a variety of adjustment to achieve your own 'film-look' creatively based on the stocks whereas Filmbox wants to achievee as much accuracy as possible and ofc with less creative control.

 

yeah but you have to carve out the look using filmbox as base look, putting filmbox on last end of the grade and using other tools of resolve to get the result, I find the look of filmbox more pleasing to the eye but its subjective.

 

I do prefer the result that Filmbox gives right outta the box (i mean even without major adjustment), but man that price is a huge turndown

 

I saw how expensive is to rent an Arriflex 416 per day (1000€), also you need to buy film and develop it... and making the arithmetic, well, is not that expensive, but for regular users like me is just too much. I'm using Juan Melara's right now and works fine for me.

 

im testing the free version . shame i cant turn off the grain. but wow tha halation nothing comes close to this plugin . also the colors are better than dehancer. the price is rediculous though.

 

Yeah! Sticking to whatever works is the best option

 

Hell yeah, people produce good results with dehancer, I never know how, but I get good results with filmbox, maybe its my naivety to the films, I never shot on film so, I am like kodak 2383 2383 everywhere

 

I totally understand your point because Filmbox really shows just how little-effort you need to put in to achieve a rich film look but that price won't win any casual users like me and you. And yeah I always have more bias towards filmbox in terms of color rendition than dehancer.

 

to be honest i only use dehancer for the grain . juan melara or serr powergrades give better results and filmbox is the best the greens in forest shots are perfect and blue sky and beach are filmic and the reds look like they have the mononodes density dctl. i dont know if they will be able to crack it
