Create a video that tells a story - either personal to you or the neighborhood you live in!

ASSIGNMENT

For this project I would like you to create a 3- 8 minute video telling your chosen story using the methodology I have detailed in this class.

It can either be about you - personal to you, your past, your now or your future or it can be about something related to the neighborhood you live in. Either way, close to home is essential and...you are the storyteller. The main character - vlog style!

When you’re done, upload it to the Skillshare project workspace and to Youtube with the hashtags #howtotellyourstory #skillshare.

WHERE TO START?

Pick your story. Which of the 7 story types is yours? Choose one of 7.

Then - do some good research. Google is your best friend. If it’s a story personal to you, look for other cases where similar things happened and how your experience exists in the world beyond you. If it’s a neighborhood story, research the history of the neighborhood and fit your story into that history to contextualise why what is happening is happening or what happened has... happened.

Then - nail down your video mediums/formats.

Lastly - get to writing your script and your shot list. Once this is all done, you’re ready to shoot.

DELIVERABLE

A 3-8 minute video uploaded to the project workspace and to Youtube with the hashtags
