From what I can see in the demo video it has the modern xmp (color table with intensity amount slider) profiles, not the dcp kind (camera specific). So, yeah, that means camera model is not important anymore
I have seen the old ones, I just want to try the new ones and see if they are worth buying.

 

To my knowledge specific camera model tailored DCP plus an adjustable xmp would be the best, that adjustable xmp are just like 3d luts, so I hope they make a specific dcp base for each camera and layered the fuji looks through xmp, they works in harmony.

 

Interesting… well, no idea, if someone has this maybe they would enlighten us. I personally haven’t seen a mixed xmp+dcp profile before. Can you give an example please (of some preset that is also shared here) ? Thanks !

So this is the function/command that can call a base profile of that name and apply the adjust with respect to the base.
Its two profiles layering over one another. Well I haven't seen this in the presets shared here, but its there in Will Goodlet's R5 Camera Matching Profiles. This combination is more accurate than of XMPs which works on some images and doesnt works the other time.

If you remove that names like this
crs:CameraProfile=""
or remove that line together, the preset can be used on any image even if the "DVLOP Base Example"
is present the presets folder. So if you dont see presets appearing after its installed, that line is the culprit.

 

Just studied a few files and since the so called xmp profiles are referred to as "<crs:Look>" or looks, it makes perfect sense to further refine the preset and add camera profiles in the function you mentioned. Funny thing is, I haven't seen one preset that does that, witch makes you wonder on how much "hard work" is really put into this expensive presets. Clearly this "modern profiles" or looks are just generic profiles.

 

I think this stuff is less documented and new to the preset industry, so I hope they implement it, only a very few preset makers do it for now.
