Ohhhh ok now I'm understanding this better!

I'm thinking about replacing my ab800 with the xplor 600pro ttl https://www.adorama.com/fplfx600ptb.html...what are your thoughts?

I think a non TTL version is better value for money, perhaps the savings can be used to purchase a sekonic light meter. Much better money spent for studio work.

If you are not in a rush perhaps you can wait for the sales? I definitely think buying the trigger and perhaps the adorama non ttl ad600 pro might be worth getting from adorama. For the rest it will only be down to warranty, not sure how the length of warranty provided by B&H photo but godox, flashpoints all work together. No issues with comp ability since they are all made in the same factory by Godox.

I agree with @Kocaman on sales. I think with the economic downturn we should be seeing some sales coming on gear soon as retailers like B&H and Adorama try to move product while money is tight as many of us are shut down for the time being. If you aren't in a rush.

I doubt any photographer is in rush to get any gear right now. I would sell mine to buy next gen If I could get a good price. Many current and potential clients are cancelling/thinking twice about booking a photography service, we all know the reason why.

Awesome info! I never shoot TTL...mainly because I don't understand it lol. I figured out manual settings and I only use that, but I was told that shooting TTL would help me work faster because it does take me a bit to get my lighting right...but I also have never used a light meter, so would you recommend learning to use TTL, or stay with only manual and learn to use a light meter? right now, my lighting is a lot of guessing and adjusting as needed

Light meter > TTL especially when using light in direction such as rim/backlights. Save money and buy a sekonic light meter if you really need it. But for studio you can use tethering and see exposure on desktop/laptop calibrated monitor.
