    July lens guide..
    XF100-400MMF4.5-5.6

Dylan Goldby takes a practical look at the XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6—Fujifilm's heavyweight telephoto zoom. This isn't a chart-packed review. It's a real-world reflection on what this lens feels like to use, where it truly shines, and when it might just stay home:
    • Why this lens is a joy for serious wildlife and cityscape work
    • How it stacks up against the XF70-300mm and XF150-600mm
    • What makes it worth the weight, and when it's not.

    August Lens Guide... ASTRHORI 27MMF2.8
AstrHori 27mm F2.8 Is a budget-friendly alternative to Fujifilm's own 27mm lenses. It's not about pixel-peeping or corner sharpness charts — this guide is all about how the lens feels to use, what it's best for, and the real pros and cons you'll want to know before deciding. From street and travel photography to environmental portraits and honest, undistorted storytelling, you might be surprised at what this little lens can do — especially for a fraction of the price.

2025 October Lens Guide Tamron 11-20MMF2.8 DI III-A RXD
Much like the XF10-24mmF4, this lens is very much at the ultra-wide-angle end of the focal length scale. Also, much like that lens, the Tamron incorporates a weather-resistant design and a stepping motor for rapid and accurate autofocus. Just like the XF lens, the Tamron is also an excellent choice for any type of photography where you need a wide field of view or significant perspective distortion.

    2026 February Lens Guide XF23MMF2.8 R WR
"As with all our lens guides, this guide will not be technical. It will not talk about the corner sharpness differences of the lens at different apertures. What it will do is look at how the lens feels to use and describe what I see as the ideal uses for it, followed by reasons for and against investing in the lens. This guide will discuss a brand-new addition to Fujifilm’s lineup of wide-normal lenses: the XF23mmF2.8 R WR."

    2026 March Lens Guide 7ARTISANS 50MMF1.8 LITE
    7ARTISANS 50MMF1.8 LITE.png
With the popularity of Fujifilm’s line of f/2 primes and the subsequent success of Viltrox’s line of Air lenses, it only seems fitting that we’ll start to see some other manufacturers bringing their own offerings to the table. The first of those seems to be 7Artisans with their LITE series. The initial offerings are a 25mm, 35mm and 50mm set, all with f/1.8 apertures, forming a classic trio that covers the basics. We’ll look at the longest of them here.
