Take your project to the next level by adding Halation to the footage. As a by-product of filming, Halation adds a red glow around the bright part of your image, enhancing the romantic feeling of celluloid film.


What is Halation?
Halation is a by-product that is obtained when shooting on film, when bright parts of the image acquire a red glow or "halo". Films are made of different layers of emulsion that capture light in the blue, green and red channels; along with the anti-halo substrate layer that absorbs excess light. In the case of particularly bright images, light can often be refracted from the anti-halo substrate and return to the red channel, which leads to the appearance of a halo. This is most often observed on bright light sources, such as lamps, car headlights and neon signs.

How to install:


1. Disable antiviruses, uninstall previous versions of the plugin (if installed).
2. Run Setup.exe and install the plugin.
3. After that, you can use it. Registration is not required. * The plugin in After Effects and Premiere Pro is located here: "Effects - FilmConvert - Halation by FilmConvert". * If you look at the plugin license status, you will see "Not Licensed". - This is normal, do not pay attention to it, all restrictions are removed.
