How to get this look?

    If you take a look at https://www.instagram.com/mindz.eye/ you'll see that his photos always have this painterly and dreamy feeling, especially the lightings and the atmosphere of each photo is very nice.

    He used to offer 1-1 Skype tutorial session but I knew about it too late. I tried to contact him but to no avail :( So just wondering if someone here knows how to achieve this look? I guess he purposely blurred out the edges of objects in his photos a bit to give them the painterly looking.

    This might give you some idea as well.

    Try getting the tone/hue that you want with curves or whatever.
    Duplicate layer of image.
    Apply High Pass filter on the duplicate and set layer style to Overlay.
    Apply Gaussian blur to duplicate.
    Just experiment and tweak with settings.
