Welcome to my High End Retouching Tutorial:

In this tutorial, I am going to run through a full high end skin retouch using dodge & burn (local & global), as well a few other techniques. I will focus on explaining both how these techniques work, as well as the reasoning behind using them. You will be able to follow along with the included RAW file (unfortunately, you may not post the image anywhere online or use it for any purpose other than following along with this tutorial).

What this tutorial will cover:

1. Blemish/Hair Removal
2. Frequency Separation Brush (Hybrid Method)
3. Local Dodge & Burn
4. Global Dodge & Burn
5. Sharpening

We will be working in Adobe Photoshop. Prior experience with this program would help, but is not necessary, as I will explain everything that I do in detail. I will also provide you with many hotkeys and keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow.
