In 1985, his photo exhibition "Fragments of Daily Life" won the first Higashikawa Prize. In 1997, his photo collection "Memories of the World" won the 16th Ken Domon Prize. He also has photo collections such as "Kanto Wind Stories" and "Folk Songs of Mountains and Rivers". In 2012, the curator of the London Photographers' Gallery named Kazumasa Suda the most underrated Japanese photography master.
