    Kazumasa Suda (1940-March 7, 2019) graduated from Tokyo College of Photography in 1962. He started his career as a freelance photographer in 1971. In 1976, he won the Newcomer Award of the Photographic Society of Japan for his photo collection "The Flower of Wind". In 1985, his photo exhibition "Fragments of Daily Life" won the first Higashikawa Prize. In 1997, his photo collection "Memories of the World" won the 16th Ken Domon Prize. He also has photo collections such as "Kanto Wind Stories" and "Folk Songs of Mountains and Rivers". In 2012, the curator of the London Photographers' Gallery named Kazumasa Suda the most underrated Japanese photography master.
