    The Edge by Wayne Levin
While this is the most recent photographic project of mine, its roots stem from my earliest underwater work. While photographing,I am in an environment of motion. I am within the surge of water with limited control of my movements, forcing me to be very aware of exactly where I am relative to the ocean’s action and the reef.

    Deja View by David Cummings
It is a great joy to go to new places and see new things. Travel opens a world of novelty and excitement. Sometimes when looking through the viewfinder and composing a photograph, I say, “Wait. I’ve seen this before.” It may be the subject itself, or the arrangement of elements in the frame. Somehow there is a new image that matches one made years ago across the world.

The Return of the Lake by Steve Dzerigian
Tulare lake in the San Joaquin Valley of California was once the largest body of water west of the Mississippi. Diversion, land and water use, plus many drought years resulted in it virtually disappearing. With a very wet year coupled with its great Sierra snowpack melting rapidly, the lake returned in a major way for a while in 2023.

    Alone Together by Jerry Russo
The great photographer, Walker Evans, shot photographs of people on the New York City subway system between 1938 and 1941 using a camera painted black and hidden in his coat. Thanks to the iPhone, I am attempting to follow in Evans footsteps by photographing people on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) buses and subway trains since 2013.

    The American West Lives On
    by Alex Morley

"I grew up in Wyoming, and although I was never a real cowboy, I have always had a fascination with horses, the cowboy lifestyle, and ranching. Most of these images are from western North Dakota on my wife’s relatives’ working ranches, and some from Oregon where we now live. They are glimpses into real life. None of these were posed situations or set-ups for photography workshops. My images are a story of cattle roundups, branding, a cattle auction, and then the rodeo for fun."

    Mystery of the Canyons
    by Joseph Kayne

"This is a lifelong project of the canyon dwellers of the Colorado Plateau. Starting in 1992, hiking with a large format camera, I sought to explore and document the ancient sites and rock art of the ancestral puebloans (Anasazi) and prior residents."

    Urban Trees of Atlanta
    by Peter Essick

"Old, urban trees in Atlanta, Georgia are remnants of the Piedmont forest that once spread across the East coast. These trees have survived the rapid development in the region. Recent research has shown that trees react to their environment and “sleep” by relaxing their limbs at night. I photographed many species of trees at night near my home in Atlanta to document how these trees live in their urban setting."
