Lifetime Gold membership changes

I hate when I'm a victim of my own emotions! I've tried to adopt the 3-day Gun Rule: before acting on anything implemented by upper-level admins (at my work, not specific to here) - wait three days to carry out the task, because it will undoubtedly be modified in some manner (often changed significantly or added to) . . .

 

Specific to maintaining Links for ones' posts: this can get a little muddy here. At present - few people have the time to participate and actively UL content; track material for new DL, and participate in GBs as they present. Although it should ideally be a part of good management of our own files and considered a best-practice - I've attempted to be prompt with filling requests that have been identified as Dead or no longer available. This is ultimately unavoidable with the present system because most use WorkUpload or Mega; and the process is something that new members have to sort-of learn as they go along. (And to be honest, I'm not at all certain if I'm utilizing these servers at the most optimized for this forum). There are other things too (involving the how-to elements) that should be established as standards besides the posted rules - but trying to stay on point.

My understanding is that new Mods have been added to staff over the last year to assist in managing / monitoring for dropped links. This is basically a Hamster-wheel job and tough as hell (I imagine; and I mean NOT to denigrate the position; to the contrary - MUCH RESPECT). To do it all over: I would have set up a folder for ULs specific for this site and probably a Excel doc with date / title / link to facilitate self-monitoring - - - but as time goes on - the volume of material grows and self management becomes a task in itself.

Are there any bots that can be implemented to monitor the integrity of links at set time periods and send out notifications appropriately?

Perhaps a "Identified Best Practices" instruction sheet or something of the kind should be made by those that have experience and be presented for those that really wish to be participants here. I think that would ideally streamline much and take the steepness out of the learning curve.

Ty @george...so, if I understand it well:

1) There is no more lifetime membership

2) At 10k likes there will be an Auto Gold Membership that will subtract every month 10TP (automatically)...
....in this case, according to some promo you've created (7Tp or 13Tp) may I suggest (just for 10k AutoGoldMembers) to subtract only 5Tp per months?

2) Which will be the use of TPs after being a VIP ?
