This author’s class begins with a historical background on the invention of the technique for controlling the depth of field, thanks to movements on the camera. How did our predecessors try to overcome the capabilities of old cameras, and how can we go beyond the capabilities of our cameras and camcorders? We will see the work of great photographers who have achieved amazing depth and image quality.

In the practical part of the class, we will work with a tilt-shift lens, shoot using the Focus Shifting technique and see what can be done with the images obtained in Adobe Photoshop. Look for fundamental information about the depth of field in Anton Martynov’s class.
