    How light strikes the face is paramount. Do you want to compete with the top guns in the industry? You have to master the light. How would you like to know lighting so well that there is not a lighting technique or look on the planet that you could not duplicate. Or better yet, rock the world with your signature look. It’s not as difficult as you think. Follow Joel as he takes you through taking the mystery out of lighting that even a third grader could understand. No flash meters, no lighting ratios, no mathematical formulas and most of all, no more excuses. Learn to Master the Light.

    I like Joel's work and find it rather unique - his workshops are highly charged and motivational; but some feel lack the technical side of getting the end result. I would tend to agree. Thus - this share is a decent workshop (overview) of his motivational process - and his tutorials posted on the site provide greater detail on how he gets to the end goal. Taken together - one can gather an appreciation of his style and work ethic (and his honest attempt to market those elements).
