Mega Account Status & The Future

    As some of you know, my mega account was suspended for multiple violations/copyright infringements. Not at home at the moment, but when I am back (possibly Sunday/Monday) I'll create a new account and begin the painstaking process of uploading/relinking 4TB of content. From that point on, ALL posts will be gold, even if not previously set that way. This is not a process I particularly want to repeat.

    In other news: sorry for being largely absent and non-contributory of late -

    i) installed a new SSD w/ Windows 10, and it only plays nicely some of the time so I've sort of been having to reinstall Windows on every reboot. This has thrown a wrench into 'work' so the time I do have a system up and running has been spent getting things done vs being here.

    ii) currently building a new studio, so funds have largely been directed that way.

    So until everything is back to how/where it should be - thanks for your patience.

    @Mod, What kind of Studio? And, if you can kindly share the stuffs you have added or the items you have purchased for the studio or even a snap for future reference for myself in Budget. :)

    @convectuoso ....You have nothing to worry about, you have done so much for all of us...Hoping your new project will be ready soon giving you all the best !

    @convectuoso for speed up your ReInstall you should try creating a backup copy (or maybe 2: one witah fresh Windows installation & second with Windows and your "majority" programs on it) of your system with Acronis True Image !

    Aside: Set up seems to be stable if I unplug external drives on boot.

    You don't have any light artillery weapons? (Nikon/Canon)

    For the summer I'm an dusting off my old 4x5 for some paper negative portraits, bought it really cheap ages ago but I haven't given it much use.

    Was using Nikon up until the release of the A7 III last year. Once I’d gotten a feel for the system, I dumped Nikon entirely. Not a huge fan of Sony’s color. Files look.. flat(?) too. But the AF is everything.

    ...so you could have nikon Z (bringing back preferred colors) with "old" mount you have from "your past"

    Unfortunately my go to preset is VSCO based. Support for A7 III - but not the Z.

    Maybe next few mounths VSCO will upgrade to Z...but I understand "your" working time is now.
    However your Nikon FX lenses are still good till that upgrade....and for next Z firmware (AF), too.
