Unfortunately, I see more and more members saying, ‘file not found,’ ‘link is dead,’ ‘re-upload.’ They don't ask nicely or are polite, they just come in and think they are automatically entitled to the file We are a community that shares with everyone, but we are not employees of the members. Be polite just as you would like them to ask you to upload again I´m sorry for this but is happening over and over
Fully agree. Pretty frustrating at times and sometimes kind of attitude that of being entitled to this. Gathering, packaging, finding a hoster, uploading, maintaining the links takes pretty much effort. Similarly folks pretty in stating "link dead" while clicking 20x like successfully being able to download the stuff with not a single thank you. Thus can feel your frustration.
Happens on forums like this and is usually leechers coming in to just take everything without ever sharing. Just complaining like you say. I think most also have a language barrier and only copy others who write the same thing so they think it is "Normal". Even more frustrating are the leechers who steal my shares I paid for and with in hours it is up and for "Sale" on sites like MateFX or many telegram channels. But it is what it is . I don't think it will ever change. Best just to ignore them bc there is no way it can change. I am on another sharing site that there is a rule that a topic cannot be bumped for 2 weeks which is actually nice bc you don't get message every time someone post +1 or Bump on a thread several times in the same day.
Now, not only do these issues persist, but even some "request" posts contain nothing more than a link, without any text or images. They don’t even bother reading the guidelines for posting. How amusing.
Indeed - a little courtesy goes a long way. I understand it could be a bit frustrating to be met with expired links in face of being a new-ish member (especially with 20-limit / day "like" kitty) - but c'mon; read the rules and please don't exhibit yer Noobness - or worse - who ya really are because on the implied anonymity [or even worse - if one is actually mean because of it]. The only one I'd excuse is an actively-treated terminal chemo peep with associated "chemo-fog" from IV therapy - for you, Dear peep - I'll personally send whatever ya want to your In-box by noon today . . . and a bouquet of pretty flowers too . . .
My POV I think part of the problem is that when someone pays for a subscription (aka a gold donation), they are usually looking for specific preset packs they don’t already have. They often don’t have other packs they want to donate in return, which is why they choose to pay instead. That’s something we should also consider from their side. That’s also why the admin suggested uploading files to MEGA or Google Drive, since they’re better for long-term storage. I understand the frustration, though—many users still use WorkUpload, OD, or SwissTransfer, which often results in dead links over time. At the same time, politeness really matters. This is a sharing community, not a service . People should ask respectfully instead of demanding re-uploads or acting entitled. A simple, polite request goes a long way, and it makes everyone more willing to help.
