    Whats the rule for posting updated content for an action/preset etc. For example a thread exists but the content is a year old and new version is available.

    It depends on You. If you have Updated content of the same stuff, you should make new thread of it. Because some people are posting updated contents in their post without removing old links to gain more likes on everything. In The End, It Doesn't Even Matter.

    Looking at same. I think a new link in a thread saying it's updated and pm op to link to your post is good, but might get messy. A new thread means the old gets deleted(?) so the original uploader loses likes for all work sharing which seems wrong, unless it can be archived/likes saved.

    If the thread is created by you, then you should update the original post.
    If the thread is created by another member, then you should post a reply to that thread with the updated content, then you can message the thread creator to include a link to your post.

    Agree, what the our admin says. This way you wouldn't bypassing the post of the previous owner. Just indicate and make a highly in your post heading by making your fonts bigger on the title only and followed by the version of it.
