Okay - relatively new to video editing and all. Really want to convert some old tapes (DV-Cassettes) Panasonic to digital with titles, effects, etc.

My question is I started with intent to install free Davinci Resolve but somehow installed Filmora from web (on Mac) - but I can use either platform - really doesn't matter . . .

Should I stick with Filmora as a beginner or just dump it, as I'm new to this - and DL Resolve and start afresh? Seems like a lot more resources on here for the later . . .

Thanks for any input or practiced opinion!

Filmora has a much friendlier and simple work interface. Davinci does somewhat but can get complicated really quickly. I would recommend Filmora, its layout and controls are direct to the point. Can't go wrong.
