Yes that might happen. Although I find it quite unclear how the threads are arranged at the moment as well. The community is growing and growing and lately we have to exhort like every third new thread because of double postings, missing information or wrong use of tags.

Any idea how to get the controls back?

Spontaniously I give a few suggestions:

• Posting Rules need to be pinned in every single forum and sub forum or at least new members are shown the rules for 30 seconds when creating a new thread for the first 10 threads they create.
• There could be a authority checking every thread before it gets unlocked.
• Finally I'd like to recommend myself - I think for the third time now - for summing up the content here and making it into one big post where you will easily find all you need to know and all you are searching for.
