    In this online course, learn how to read a client's brief and take photos of sports in action, playing with the strength and force of movement. Andrés teaches you his techniques while working with a professional triathlete, taking his movements to the extreme to capture them in powerful photographs for an advertising campaign.

    Begin by getting to know Andrés, who tells you about his background, how he got started in photography, and where his career has taken him. He also talks about his biggest inspirations and influences.

    Continue with an overview of the course project: an action shot and a lifestyle shot of an athlete for a sports advertising campaign. Then, learn a few fundamentals concepts about light quality and direction before analyzing some rhetorical figures used in photography and advertising.

    Read through the client brief for both shots and decide on the technical aspects for each, making a list of the equipment you need. Andrés also talks to you about essential materials and why they're important for your session.

    Time to get to work! Assemble your set and lighting, measuring the amount of light and contrast ratios, and then start shooting your athlete in action.

    Repeat the process for your lifestyle image. Photograph the athlete in sportswear in a medium and long shot, followed by a portrait, taking a medium shot and general shot.

    Once you have all the images, choose the best for editing. Andrés also shows how to do a quick selection of low-quality photos to send to the client beforehand.

    Following your brief, color correct the final images in Capture One and learn to finish them in Photoshop, retouching skin, product, and composition imperfections to achieve a professional advertising look. Finally, see how to export your images for delivery.
