    Who It’s For: Photographers seeking to go beyond snapshots — to see, capture, and edit compelling street stories through light, rhythm, and emotion.

    What You’ll Learn

    Learn to see the unseen. Through five sessions blending observation, shooting, and editing, you’ll discover how to transform everyday street moments into powerful visual stories — from first glance to final edit. You’ll master how to work with light, timing, and narrative while developing your own visual voice.

    Workshop Topics (1 per session)

    Session 1. The Art of Observation: Seeing Before Shooting
    Saturday, October 25th — 15:30–17:00 CEST

    Focus: The foundation of street photography and how to train the eye.

    Goal: Recognize patterns, emotion, and story in everyday life before lifting the camera.

    Topics:
    • Storytelling vs. snapshots — the essence of street photography
    • Seeing without the camera, importance of context
    • Reading patterns, rhythm, space, body language, and movement in a scene
    • Visual sketching and observation exercises
    • Q&A + examples
    Session 2. Light in the Streets: Mood, Direction, and Atmosphere
    Saturday, October 25th: — 17:30–19:00 CEST

    Focus: Understanding and using light as your core storytelling tool.

    Goal: Master light to shape narrative and emotion.

    Topics:
    • Natural light and its role in storytelling
    • Working with shadows, reflections, and glow
    • Golden hour, overcast, and night light — how they change your narrative
    • Exercise: same location, different light conditions
    • Q&A + examples
    Session 3. Composition and Timing in Real-World Chaos
    Sunday, October 26th — 14:30 - 16:00 CET

    Focus: Making strong visual decisions in unpredictable environments.

    Goal: Develop strategies for framing and timing that bring clarity to street chaos.

    Topics:
    • Framing for dynamic street scenes
    • Subject placement and balance
    • Using layers, reflections, and negative space
    • When to wait, when to move
    • Assignment: capture stories through framing
    • Q&A + examples
    Session 4. From Street to Story: Editing with Emotion
    Sunday, October 26th — 16:30 - 18:00 CET

    Focus: Turning a photo into a visual narrative through post-processing.

    Goal: Edit for emotion, story, and atmosphere - not perfection - and create your own visual identity.

    Topics:
    • Light, tone, and color as emotional language
    • Lightroom storytelling workflow
    • Subtle adjustments that enhance authenticity
    • Color theory and palettes to build a consistent, signature look
    • Editing exercise: different moods from the same set
    • Q&A + examples
    Session 5. Building a Voice and a Vision
    Sunday, November 2nd — 16:30 - 18:00 CET

    Focus: Moving beyond single images to create meaningful work.

    Goal: Develop a cohesive visual language and personal style.

    Topics:
    • Building a consistent visual language
    • Series vs. standalone images
    • Sequencing and curating your work
    • Presenting your work and writing an artist statement
    • Final assignment: 3–5 image story built around light and mood
    • Q&A + examples
    Learning Approach

    Each session includes live demos, real-time editing walkthroughs, and open Q&A. Ashraful shares insights from his own projects to help you translate observation into creation. Between sessions, you’ll apply new skills to your own images — culminating in a collaborative final session with personalized feedback, screen sharing, and peer review.
