The Keepers of Light: A History & Working Guide to Early Photographic Processes by William Crawford

Very readable, very informative and a must for any library. (I came across this at the "mouse".) This is a good "scan" (I think) since the book has been out of print and unavailable for a while. Enjoy.

Combines a history of the development of photography with guidelines for mastering the photographic print processes which the great nineteenth and twentieth-century pioneers of photography themselves employed.
